Global Surgeons' Reflection Month
Illuminating the Art of Surgery Through Shared Stories
Our Humble Beginning
Global Surgeon's Reflection Month, envisioned in December 2024 for its inaugural January 2025 launch, stands as an independent initiative with a profound purpose: creating a dedicated time for surgeons worldwide to share, connect, and reflect on their sacred calling. Founded by Dr. Sophimar Garcia, MD, DPBOHNS, Board-Certified ENT-Head & Neck Surgeon, this grassroots movement emerged from a deep understanding that behind every surgical mask lies stories that need to be told, wisdom that needs to be shared, and experiences that can light the path for others. Our Position
Celebrating Excellence Year-Round
As part of our ongoing commitment to honoring surgical excellence, we proudly present our monthly recognition program: "Surgical Light of the Month." While Surgeon's Reflection Month unites our global community each January, our Light of the Month initiative ensures that extraordinary surgical journeys are celebrated throughout the year.
